This little guy has been dubbed Baby Yoda, and is the apparent star of the new Disney Mandalorian series. He’s suddenly everywhere, so an easy drawing tutorial to help elementary age students learn how toDrawing him seems like a great idea. If pop culture has the potential to inspire more people to draw, so be it.

Note: Because Yoda’s cuteness is all about his eyes, I shared a tip in my tutorial. You can make your eyes look much more similar if you plan them lightly by drawing dots in the corners before connecting them. Drawing paper. Don’t substitute it with copy paper or construction paper. You might see a fuzzy surface, or erasing could cause holes. The colors may also not appear as bright.

Black Sharpie Marker. These permanent markers are fine and have an excellent tip that can be used for coloring. They never bleed after they’re wet. You can use these markers in places with adequate ventilation. For protection at the table, you may want to add additional paper beneath.
