How to Draw a Table – Let’s get started!

To create the outline for the top of your table, draw a parallelogram tilted shape.
When drawing an outline, remember to use gentle strokes. To make it easy to remove your outline later, don’t press down too hard.

Step 2 – Draw the Topmost Part of the Table

Below the outline draw a broad V-shaped straight line. On both sides, draw a shorter vertical line. The line must be drawn parallel to our previous outline.
Don’t forget to erase the bottom part of the outline! This helps to refine the form of the top.

Step 3 – Draw the Left Front Leg of the Table

Below the left-hand corner, draw a long and narrow figure.
It forms the right front leg for the table.

Step 4 – Draw the Right Front Leg of the Table

Continue the process to draw another leg under the right-hand corner of the table. The right leg is now formed.
Remember that both the front legs should be the same length. Because the table is tilted to one side, it may seem that the right front leg appears lower than the left.
Now, you can finish the right and left front legs.

Step 5 – Draw the Right Back Leg of the Table

Another elongated and narrow figure should be drawn with an angle bottom beneath the right-hand corner.
It forms the right rear leg of the table.

Step 6 – Complete All Four Legs of the Table

Place another leg under the back corner of your table. You will now have the right back leg for the table.
You can clearly see the lower part of the leg in the above illustration. It is covered up by the table’s top.

Step 7 – Draw a Line on the Top of the Table

Follow the shape of the table’s edge and draw a line. If drawn properly, the outline should match the dimensions of each edge.
It makes the table appear more realistic and three-dimensional.

Step 8 – Add Dimensions on the Front Legs

Once we have created the dimensions of top of table, the next step is to add the dimensions of legs.
Draw a horizontal line along the length of each leg. These lines will create the edges for the legs. You should ensure that the edge of the legs is not wider than the one forming them.

Step 9 – Finish the Dimensions on All Four Legs

Continue the process for the back legs. All four legs should now have visible edges or dimensions.
The table is finally coming together, as you can see! Now, all it’s missing is a dash of colors to make the table vibrant and colorful!
